UP Police Constable Eligibility Criteria 2023

Eligibility criteria for the post of Constable under the Uttar Pradesh Police Department in terms of educational qualification and age limit are as follows.

• Educational Qualification – One must have passed the Intermediate examination from any state board like Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad or central board like Central Board of Secondary Education.
• Age Limit – An individual’s age must not be below 18 and above 23 or 26 years, if he or she belongs to General (Male or Female) for OBC/SC/ST there will be an upper age relaxation of 5 years.

UP Police Constable Application Fee 2023

Candidates who want to be appointed as Constable under the Uttar Pradesh Police Department, have to pay the application fee of ₹400 at the end of application form submission, only if the applicant belongs to General or Other Backward Class category.

Note: Schedule Caste and Scheduled Tribes will be exempted from paying the application fee.

UP Police Constable Selection Process 2023

Selection process for the post of Constable under the UP Police Department consists three stages, which are as follows:

1). Written Exam

• Type of Exam: Objective
• Papers: Four different papers.
• Total Questions: 150 questions.
• Marking: Each question carries +2 marks.
• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks
• Subjects and Marks Distribution:
• General Science: 38 questions (76 marks)
• General Hindi: 37 questions (74 marks)
• Numerical & Mental Ability Test: 38 questions (76 marks)
• Mental Aptitude Test or Intelligence Quotient Test or Reasoning: 37 questions (74 marks)

2). Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

• Male: 4.8 km run in 25 minutes.
• Female: 2.4 km run in 14 minutes.

3). Physical Measurement Test (PMT):

• Male (UR/OBC/SC/ST):
  • Minimum Height: 168 cm
  • Chest Measurement:
    • Without expansion: 79 cm
    • With expansion: 84 cm
• Female (UR/OBC/SC/ST):

• Minimum Height: 152 cm
• Minimum Weight: 40 kg
